Daphne mezereum is the first plant to flower in the spring in Finland. I've yet to see it, this year. The photo above was taken couple of years ago in the beginning of April. April is the month this beautiful poisoneus shrub flowers in Southern Finland. I'm so waiting spring, increasing sunshine, water dripping from eaves, days getting warmer. And the first flowers.
